Editorial policy
Source-led reporting, traceable claims and evidence in context.
Primary sources first
We prioritize Health Canada, Statistics Canada, BC government announcements, official legislation and peer-reviewed research. Government statements are attributed; policy interpretation remains separate from the wording of a law.
Summaries and verification
Original AI-assisted launch summaries are based on cited sources and checked for factual support. Routine automated news detection produces unpublished candidates. An editor must review each candidate and write or verify its summary before publication. Deterministic statistical briefs may publish when the approved official dataset validates successfully.
Sensitive evidence
Clinical results include study design and limitations. Observational associations are not presented as causation. Preliminary findings are labelled; product recommendations and unsupported therapeutic claims are excluded.
Corrections and archives
Source dates and verification timestamps accompany published material. Corrections should identify the affected URL and primary evidence. Routine article archival after two years preserves the record in the database while removing it from current news listings.
Independence
No cannabis retailer advertising, paid product promotions or affiliate sales are active. Any future sponsorship or premium research requires an explicit editorial conflict policy and legal review.
