First capture: October 11, 2026, 02:21–02:28 PDT. All six priced stores were in Vancouver, across four banners. Convenience sample; not a representative BC market estimate.

An observation becomes a question

Verify before interpreting.

The first internal edition reviewed 13 cross-store product groups using shared menu identifiers, brand, product name and 3.5 g flower format. Twelve selected product-detail checks found three differences between category and detail sale-price fields.

Those differences were retained as unresolved exceptions. They were excluded from definitive sale-price rankings. A buyer’s next step is to establish the price customers actually encounter and the reason the source fields differ.

The detail checks were deliberately selected. Three exceptions in that set are not an estimated market-wide error rate.

What a complete record contains

Store & source

Product identity
Brand, product name, menu identifier and package size. UPC, package version and lot need separate confirmation.
Price context
Regular and promotional fields, tax basis and the specific menu surface observed.
Review status
Detail-page checks, conflicts and the follow-up needed before interpretation.
Coverage
What was captured, what remains inaccessible, and why missing observations are inconclusive.

What this snapshot can establish

Observed listings, descriptive posted-price ranges and documented source discrepancies. The evidence retains timestamps, original fields, source links and capture hashes. Retrieval time is distinct from a source’s last update.

All priced menus were partial. Package identifiers and tax treatment need further verification. There is no unit-sales evidence, confirmed distribution gap or sustained price trend. A repeat capture must use comparable products, locations and source contexts.

Location verification used the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch licence map. Public sources can change. Access permission and commercial reuse are reviewed separately.
